Step back in time and reminisce with neighbors on the front porch. Or stroll down to the dock and enjoy an early morning kayak ride. Whatever you choose to do at Overlook at Battery Creek, it will please the senses and evoke images of neighborhoods
past. Designed with narrow streets, pedestrian-friendly paths, sweeping front porches and open green spaces, Overlook at Battery Creek reflects the traditional style of America’s Southern homes and neighborhoods.
Located along the banks of Battery Creek in historic Beaufort, the community has been developed in harmony with its natural surroundings, preserving century-old live oak trees, marsh views and nature trails. And the homes in the community seem as mature as their backdrop. Designed to reflect the pinnacle of Southern architecture and the barefoot elegance of coastal living, the homes at Overlook at Battery Creek feature sweeping front porches, stately columns, alley garages and Main Street appeal.
In its gracious style, the community recently welcomed a new neighbor Haven Custom Homes – to its list of prestigious deve lopers and partners. The award-winning custom modular home builder has joined the cadre of developers and architects in the community that include PEC Development, Allison Ramsey Architects and Ed Pinckney & Associates.
Combined, the team has created a masterfully planned community that was
the recipient of the 2007 Best in American Living Award for best new home community
up to and including 150 homes.
To introduce its style and building techniques at Overlook at Battery Creek, Haven Custom Homes recently unveiled two new homes in the community, including the Sumter and the professionally decorated Orleans model. Haven Custom Homes also has two additional homes under construction in the community, both designed by award-winning Looney Ricks Kiss Architects. The homes will be constructed in Haven Custom Homes’ Ridgeland, S.C., climate-controlled facility, delivered to the community in July
and complete in September. These homes are priced for $369,000 to $475,000.
Originally designed by Beaufort-based Eric Moser for a New Orleans neighborhood, the Orleans is the same home design that was showcased as the 2007
Cottage Living Idea Home. Featuring interior design work by Ann Parker of Looney
Ricks Kiss Architects, the 2,466-squarefoot home is a reflection of the rich
architecture seen in historic areas of the South with a covered front porch and traditional
parlor room.
The architectural design for Haven Custom Homes’ Sumter home was created
by Allison Ramsey Architects and features an inviting front porch leading to the home’s 2,262 square feet of living space. The first floor of the home contains a dining and living room, breakfast nook, kitchen and owner’s suite, which grants access to the rear porch and backyard. The second story loft features two additional bedrooms, a bath and a spacious loft area. Both homes are available to tour at Overlook at Battery Creek.
“Our unique construction techniques allow us to deliver homes to Overlook
at Battery Creek three times faster than traditional construction while still maintaining
the highest level of quality and design,” said John Ragland, executive vice president of acquisitions and marketing for Haven Custom Homes.
“The Meyers is a great example of this timeliness and architectural integrity. The
home is designed by one of the country’s most renowned firms and will be delivered
and complete in the community within several months. We believe this is a great asset to the Beaufort community and homebuyers
at Overlook at Battery Creek.”
In addition to the community’s aesthetic appeal and Southern style, Overlook features a lifestyle rich with amenities. Residents enjoy The Oyster House social center, Big Oak Park, nature trails, swimming pool, summer kitchen and 300-foot wooden dock that extends into Battery Creek.
The dock and social pavilion provide an ideal place to enjoy fishing, crabbing,
relaxing or kayaking. Residents can also purchase a home site with marsh views,
providing beautiful sunsets and peaceful vistas of Battery Creek. |
